Oetara

I was longing for a delicious and hearty brunch so I decided to visit a newly opened cafe nearby called Oetara. It has a bright yet cozy interior which I am totally into. The combination of mint, wood and white is just beautiful! 

Nalu bowls

I saw the post of Nalu Bowls' instagram of them opening in Jakarta. I was so excited! I've always wanted to try them, but never had a chance to go to Bali. 

Brunch || Arai Bakeshop & Brunch

Quite a while ago, I went to this tiny yet super cute cafe in Kelapa Gading, Arai Bakeshop and Brunch. I spotted this cafe via Instagram and had been dying to visit since. It is located just across a mosque by a small road, which makes parking a little tricky.

Imbi Market - Kuala Lumpur

In Kuala Lumpur, I also had the chance to visit one of its traditional market that is located right in the heart of the city: Imbi Market. When I browsed for favored places to have breakfast in KL, numerous photos of mouthwatering, authentic Malaysian food from Imbi Market popped up in the search result page! Being tempted with the foods available at Imbi Market, I decided to go there on the last day of my trip!

Rimba & Rusa

Before I went to Kuala Lumpur, I spotted a restaurant called Rimba & Rusa through Instagram. As I scanned through pictures of Rimba & Rusa, I instantly decided that Rimba & Rusa would definitely be on my top to-go destinations list for my trip to Kuala Lumpur!

As I mentioned in my most recent post - Afternoon Tea || The Orchid Conservatory - I visited Kuala Lumpur for a brief vacation a few weeks back together with my boyfriend. Before I went, I browsed for recommended places to drop by in the city to prepare for the trip. Most of the articles I read recommended VCR for a dose of coffee.

Afternoon Tea || The Orchid Conservatory

A couple of weeks ago, I traveled along with David and his parents for a short getaway to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. As I was planning for the trip, I came across the Orchid Conservatory at the Majestic Hotel. The Orchid Conservatory is basically a beautiful, exquisite glass atrium filled with dazzling orchids, and guests are welcomed to enjoy afternoon tea in this luxurious setting. It looks astonishingly elegant!

Valentine's Day 2016

I can't believe this is the second Valentine's Day I've spent with my boyfriend, David. It's just like how everyone describes it - time flies when you're in love.. For this special occasion, David had reserved a table for two at Liberte in Pacific Place. 

Day in Life || 10 February 2016

I know it's a tad late, but this one needs to be posted for sure! So, last Wednesday was one of the most important and special day for David and myself. It was the day David had to defend his thesis to receive his Bachelor's degree in Marketing, which indicates that he is graduating very soon!

Valentine's Day Brownie Roll Out Cookies

Since tomorrow is Valentine's Day, it's time for me to bake some scrumptious cookies for my boyfriend! Last year, I baked him some crunchy vanilla sugar cookies (which I considered baking them again this year), till I found the "Brownie Roll-Out Cookies" recipe from the Shutterbean blog on Pinterest. I scanned through the recipe and it seems doable! So I thought "why not bake this instead?" I'm always into simple yet delicious-sounding recipes as I'm not the best at baking. That's why I decided to bake this for this year's Valentine's Day. I figured I would share my slightly adapted recipe as well as how my version turns out to be! 

Lunch || Mangia

Last Saturday my boyfriend and I had lunch in Mangia, Panglima Polim in South Jakarta. Actually, it wasn't the first time I've been there. I decided to revisit the cafe since it now offers new addition to their menu: fruit bowls! I just LOVE fruit bowls! Not only they're healthy, but fruit bowls are also amazingly delightful! Please excuse the exclamation marks, it's just that I get really excited every time I managed to find a restaurant or cafe that serve fruit bowls in Jakarta as it is somewhat difficult to find one in the region.

Brunch || Sophie Authentique

Know what I love about Sundays..? Brunch! Last Sunday, my boyfriend and I visited a small yet cozy cafe in Kemang, South Jakarta called Sophie Authentique. We struggled a bit trying to get there since we've never been there before, we can't use Google map as our phones are out of battery, and the car's GPS has not been updated yet (perfect!). I have to say that it might not have the best location, but the food as well as cafe layout and ambiance definitely compensate it!

2015 New Year's Eve Dinner

First of all, I would like to wish everyone a belated happy new year! I hope you had a great time welcoming 2016 like I did. I spent my new year's eve by dining in Collage at Pullman Central Park. It offers fair choices of food from Indonesian, Western, Italian, Chinese to Indian. The desserts were my favorite! (Especially the chocolate pralines!)
