Laneige Water Bank Series

Today I will share my thoughts on some of the skincare products I've used for the last 3-4 months. These products are from the Korean brand Laneige

The first product that evoked me to try this brand was the famous water sleeping mask. This is a mask you apply at night and leave it on while you get to bed. It doesn't leave any residue on the face so it shouldn't stain your bed sheets. I put this mask on, right after toner, every night and I don't layer it with any other moisturizer. It has a fresh and calming scent which I adore. It felt super light on my skin, so light that I doubt if it would keep my skin feel hydrated. But in the next morning, my skin felt incredibly soft and supple like never before. I did not notice any new breakouts or any dry patches on  my face which clearly makes me very happy. I am on my second container of the water sleeping mask and I don't have any reason to stop using it.

After getting along really well with the water sleeping mask, I decided to try some more of Laneige's products hoping for the same result. I was interested in the products from their water bank line which were also very raved about, and ended up picking their water bank essence and water bank moisture cream. Both the water bank essence and moisture cream came in a glass container that had this luxurious feel to it. The water bank essence and moisture cream have little to no scent, and both of them are light in texture.

The water bank essence sinks in to my skin almost immediately. I only use this essence in the morning before moisturizer. I felt it adds a little bit of moisture to my skin, but it definitely is not enough to keep my skin moisturized for a long day. I've used this essence for quite some time, but I didn't notice any difference to my skin.

As for the water bank moisture cream, they have 2 kinds of moisturizer: the cream and the gel. Since I have a lot of dry patches on my skin, I chose the cream version. I was gifted the sample of the gel version, and I am excited to try both versions! When I applied the moisture cream, my skin felt so smooth but unfortunately I went home with a few zits on my forehead. Nevertheless, I decided to continue using it and it turned out pimples just keep popping out every single day until I decided to stop and give the gel version a try instead. I find the gel version a lot less moisturizing than the cream. After several hours, I had to reapply as I felt my skin was so dry and tight. It did not cause me to break out, thankfully, but I think I might have to get back to my previous moisturizer as it is very troublesome to keep reapplying for so many times in one day.

So, these are my thoughts on some of Laneige's products. I get on well with some of their products, but not so well with the others. I am looking forward to trying some more of their products, maybe from a different line. Have you tried any of Laneige's products? How did you get on with it?
