Quite a while ago, I went to this tiny yet super cute cafe in Kelapa Gading, Arai Bakeshop and Brunch. I spotted this cafe via Instagram and had been dying to visit since. It is located just across a mosque by a small road, which makes parking a little tricky.
The bakeshop was a lot smaller than I thought it would be. It has a cute small corner table lined with delicious varieties of baked goods, a long window facing counter seats, and a small table for two. Arai Bakeshop and Brunch offered 3 options for brunch, and several selections of drinks on their menu.
My boyfriend and I ordered their Arai Brunch as well as Tomato Spaghetti. To come along with that, I had a glass of mineral water and David ordered their Iced Chai Latte.
Arai Brunch is basically a plate of wheat bread, topped with chicken and fried egg, with sides of spinach and sauteed mushrooms. I loved the whole thing, especially the sauteed mushrooms! It was super tasty!
The Tomato Spaghetti was good and seasoned well, but not extraordinary. Unfortunately, the Iced Chai Latte wasn't our favorite. As silly as it may sound, neither David nor myself had ever drank any Chai Latte previously and we were expecting it to taste like Thai milk tea. Turned out we were completely wrong.. The Chai Latte had a very strong cinnamon taste as well as scent, like it should be. I had to learn the hard way that a glass of Chai Latte is just not to my liking.
I planned to try lots of their delightful looking baked goods, but I was so full that I only managed to try their soft baked cookies with chocolate chunks. It was oh so amazing! I loved it!
Look at these uber cute gingerbread man with different facial expressions on them. Aren't they adorable?
In addition to all the pleasant stuff mentioned above, I'm not really sure if the person who served us is the owner or a staff, but she is just incredibly sweet!
All I can say is it was a great experience and I will definitely come for more of their baked goods!
